Mr. DeWalt is Founder and CEO of NightDragon, a venture capital and advisory firm focused on cybersecurity, safety, security, and privacy. Mr. DeWalt previously served as the Executive Chairman of FireEye, Inc., a global network cybersecurity company from 2012 – 2017, also serving as CEO from 2012 - 2016. Mr. DeWalt was President and CEO of McAfee, Inc., a security technology company, from 2007 until 2011 when McAfee, Inc. was acquired by Intel Corporation.
Mr. DeWalt serves on the Board of Directors of Delta Airlines. Mr. DeWalt is also a deeply committed public servant dedicated to advancing public-private partnership and advising United States leadership on cybersecurity risks and important innovation. He has served four U.S. presidential administrations on the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) to advance our nation’s national security and emergency preparedness efforts, as well as serving as Vice Chair of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Cybersecurity Advisory Committee (CSAC) to advise on cybersecurity issues.
Mr. DeWalt received a Bachelor of Science in computer science and a Ph.D in computer and information science and support services from the University of Delaware.
