Powering Communities Every Day: Exelon Celebrates National Lineworker Appreciation Day
From charging phones and laptops to keeping homes cool during summer heat, everyday life depends on electricity, and electricity depends on the people who are ready when customers need them most. Across Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO and Pepco, lineworkers play a vital role in delivering safe, reliable electric service to millions of customers across the Mid-Atlantic and northern Illinois.
On July 10, Exelon recognizes National Lineworker Appreciation Day and honors the men and women who help keep communities connected. Whether responding to outages, restoring service after storms or maintaining critical electric infrastructure, their work often takes place in challenging conditions such as extreme heat, ice or the aftermath of tornadoes.
Lineworkers bring technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety and a customer-first mindset to every job, supporting the communities Exelon serves every day. We also recognize the many teams that support lineworkers, including operations, engineering, dispatch and emergency response personnel. Together, they help deliver the reliable service customers depend on.
On National Lineworker Appreciation Day, we thank lineworkers across all our local energy companies for their dedication, service and commitment to keeping communities connected.
