Powering Affordable, Reliable Energy Customers Can Count On
When it comes to energy, customers expect two things above all else: reliability and affordability. At Exelon, we’re delivering both – and the results speak for themselves.
Since 2016, we’ve improved electric reliability by an estimated 33%, helping customers avoid more than $1 billion in outage-related costs in 2025 alone. From families to small businesses, that means fewer interruptions, faster restoration when storms hit and greater confidence that the power will be there when they need it most. That’s why, as extreme weather becomes more common in the communities we serve and as energy demands continue to grow, our investments in resilience matter more than ever.
Just as important, we’re delivering this premium service at competitive rates. Exelon customer rates remain 19% below those in the largest U.S. cities, and the average electric bill as a percentage of median income is about 20% below the national average. We are also doing our part across Exelon to be more efficient – and the focus is saving our customers approximately $580 million in operational savings annually relative to what they would have been had they grown at the rate of inflation.
Behind these outcomes is a disciplined focus on managing costs and operating efficiently – all while investing for the future. From 2026 through 2029, Exelon plans to invest $41.3 billion to strengthen the grid, modernize infrastructure and support rising demands.
Our work also fuels the communities we serve. With more than 20,000 employees, Exelon has helped sustain roughly 50,000 jobs and has fostered nearly $60 billion in economic activity across our service territories.
Despite our ability to act and deliver these results, customers have been left paying more for value they’re not seeing as a result of constrained energy supply. That’s why we believe an “all of the above” approach is required. State-procured solutions, such as utility-generated power, which can bring certainty that the supply will be there, can help support energy security and drive affordability.
Reliable power, affordable rates, and strong communities aren’t tradeoffs – they’re priorities. That’s why, every day, Exelon is working to deliver all three.
