Waymart Wind Energy Center is a forty-three-turbine, 64.5-megawatt (MW) wind farm located in Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
The forty-three 1.5-megawatt turbines at Waymart generate enough energy to power more than 20,000 average homes annually.
Exelon has a 20-year agreement to purchase the output of Waymart Wind Energy Center. The facility is owned and operated by FPL Energy.
The average annual capacity factor of Waymart is 32 percent.
Waymart Wind Energy Center began commercial production in November 2003 and was the fourth and largest wind project constructed in Pennsylvania.
