Safety Information - Demolition Requests
If you're demolishing a building and you need PECO Energy to remove its electric or gas facilities, please contact your local New Business Services organization a minimum of 10 working days prior to the demolition date. Scheduling may take longer than 10 days depending on the complexity of the job or if the work is in the City of Philadelphia.

You must also contact the Pennsylvania One Call System (1-800-242-1776) prior to starting any demolition work! A minimum of 10 working days is required prior to the demolition date.
If the existing property has a gas service and a builder is tearing down an existing property to build a new building, the contractor should indicate on the One-Call system that the new property requires a gas service.
