Identity Theft is a growing concern and a problem that is not easily resolved. One way to prevent identity theft is to place a password on your ComEd account. You can do this by calling us at 1-800-Edison-1 and requesting this service.
If you believe you are currently a victim of identity theft on your ComEd account, please call us at 1-800-Edison-1. We will verify your account information and make sure it is consistent with our records. If we discover suspicious charges, we will refer your inquiry to our credit department.
After speaking with a ComEd credit representative, you may be directed to submit a completed FTC ID Theft Affidavit . This information will enable the company to investigate the fraud and decide the outcome of your claim.
If your ComEd representative requests the ID Theft Affidavit , please print the form. Complete and return the form to your representative along with a copy of the report filed with your local police department.
