Exelon invests in organizations that support education, the environment, arts and culture, and neighborhood development programs, which demonstrate a proven track record in addressing key community needs. We fund programs that can deliver measurable results for sustainable improvements in the communities in which we serve and operate our business.
- Energy for Education programs that encourage students to stay in school and develop their full potential, promote math and science, improve workforce skills, and encourage personal development through scholarships, mentoring and internships.
- Energy for the Environment programs that improve the quality of our environment, promote environmental education, conservation and preservation; develop cleaner sources of energy; protect endangered species; and beautify neighborhoods.
- Energy for Arts & Culture cultural institutions with broad public exposure and programs designed to make arts and culture more accessible to a wider audience.
- Energy for Neighborhood Development local civic organizations and involvement on not-for-profit community boards.
Giving Guidelines:
It is Exelon’s policy to award only one grant to any given institution within a twelve-month period. The company does not fund general operating expenses for nonprofit organizations.
Exelon Corporation, Exelon Nuclear and ComEd have fully allocated their contributions budgets and will not accept new grant applications for funding for the remainder of the year.
Organizations should consider returning to the site in January 2009 to apply for funding.
