Exelon & the Community

Exelon is proud to support numerous community activities and organizations. Exelon employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents to causes they care about. We also contribute millions of dollars annually to local charitable organizations and programs. Here are some of the ways we return our power to the communities where we do business.

Exelon has become a title sponsor for the Anti-Defamation League's annual Unity Through Diversity Conference. This conference brings together over 1,000 high school students for a full day to discuss issues of prejudice and bigotry. Exelon volunteers attend the event and assist the teens throughout the day. Exelon executives have served as keynote speakers, encouraging the students to take a stand against bigotry and thanking them for their willingness to spend a day helping to find solutions to these complex problems.

Exelon's participation in the Unity Through Diversity Conference reflects the values of our company -- to provide equal opportunity for all and to recognize that prejudice has no place in our society. Exelon has received several awards for its leadership in promoting diversity in the workplace, and in society as a whole. John W. Rowe, President & CEO of Exelon Corporation, recently received the Anti-Defamation League's A World of Difference award in recognition of his strong commitment to the issue of diversity and equal opportunity for employees, vendors, and the ethnic and racial communities of Chicagoland.

A better world is one in which we can learn, and have fun while we're at it! We are pleased to enrich our customers' community life by sponsoring exhibits that educate and entertain children and adults alike.

Primate Reserve at The Philadelphia Zoo...a recreation of an abandoned timber mill converted into a conservation center for endangered tropical primates. 2.5 acres of space for these fascinating animals to explore and play. For more information, visit www.philadelphiazoo.org.
