As summer kicked into high gear in Northern Illinois, so did the sponsorship efforts of Exelon Generation's Byron Station! Below are just a few of the many events that will be sponsored – and attended by – the nuclear professionals at Byron Station.
Concert in the Park
Byron Generating Station sponsored the June 25 "Concert in the Park," hosted by the Oregon Park District. Station employees handed out free ice cream and mini-electric fans at the event, which was attended by more than 300 guests who enjoyed great music!
ByronFest
Byron Generating Station is a major sponsor of ByronFest, which will be held July 12-14 in downtown Byron. The event is a venture of the Byron Chamber of Commerce designed to encourage and promote tourism in the Byron area and to showcase the Byron community to the many visitors who travel to Byron for the three-day event.
Byron Station sponsors one of the two concert stages at the festival, which has featured top flight country and rock music acts.
Ogle County Fair
The Ogle County Fair, which runs July 31 through Aug. 4, features livestock, rides, food, grandstand shows, and fun for the entire family. The event, located on land purchased by the Ogle County Farm Bureau, is a family favorite for miles around.
Stillman Valley Fall Festival
As the weather cools, Byron Station's support of local festivals continues with the annual Stillman Valley Fall Festival Sept. 27-29. At this event, Byron Nuclear's prime sponsorship is of the annual Car Show.
Autumn on Parade
Wrapping up the festivals before the Christmas Holiday events is the Autumn on Parade event Oct. 5-6 in Oregon. There's farmer's markets, craft fair featuring dozens of vendors, and the ever popular 5K race sponsored by Exelon Generation!
