LaSalle Station Grows Beards, Helps Charity

Who would have thought that growing a beard could help out a local charity. Members of the LaSalle County Generating Station's Women in Nuclear chapter raised $3,000 from a beard growing contest during the latest refueling outage for Streator Unlimited.

Streator Unlimited is committed to enriching the lives of adults with disabilities by teaching skills that will enable them to reach their fullest potential, live as independently as possible and become integrated into the community.
