Members of the Illinois Commerce Commission recently toured Braidwood Station, learning about nuclear energy and getting a firsthand look at how the plant operates. Site Vice President Marri Marchionda-Palmer delivered a presentation to the group and led them on a tour of the plant, which included seeing the main control room, the reactor buildings, the giant turbines on the turbine deck and the technical support center.

Braidwood and Exelon Generation's other sites periodically provide in-plant tours for public officials, key stakeholders and media. When visitors come through the doors of a plant on a tour, meet employees, and learn about plant operations, they better understand nuclear power and its benefits.
