FitzPatrick employees brought a holiday celebration full of good food, gifts and cheer to 325 clients of the Rescue Mission on Friday, December 14.
Community members down on their luck and hungry were greeted with smiles and quickly seated at a table as if they had just entered a fancy restaurant. They were served a meal catered by Dinosaur Barbeque and enjoyed coffee, pie and good company. As they left the facility they received cookies and a gift. The adult clients received pillows and socks. Children received a backpack filled with school supplies and articles to keep them warm. The food and gifts were made possibly by an Exelon grant.
A special thank you goes out to the many employee family members that helped with the day’s activities.
