Exelon Generation Proud to be Presenting Sponsor of Chamber Annual Meeting

Exelon Generation was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Meeting recently held in Oswego. The event was attended by approximately 200 Oswego County business and community leaders as well as several elected officials.

Sponsorship of, and engagement in, community events such as this is an important part of being a good community partner. We receive tremendous support from the broader Oswego County community and we are pleased to continue to be a part of the local business community.

Attending the meeting for Exelon were representatives from both of our Oswego County nuclear facilities - James A FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant and Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station. Employees involved in the sites' Women in Nuclear (WIN), North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) and Emerging Leaders organizations participated in the event to provide them with exposure to community organizations and Exelon's outreach activities.

Pictured left to right are NMP employees: Communications Manager Jill Lyon, Paul Blejwas, NAYGN WIN Outreach Chair Alyxandria Wszolek, Emerging Leader Morgan Cazzolli, FitzPatrick employees Emerging Leader Blair Barker, NAYGN Co-Lead Zack Cox and WIN representative Laurie Lisec.

A Future Powered by STEM
This August, a stone’s throw from the nation’s capital, 55 young women strategized on how to power a cleaner and brighter future. During Exelon’s second STEM Innovation Leadership Academy more than 80 employee volunteers were on hand to mentor and encourage the young women from District of Columbia-area high schools who participated in the week-long program at the University of Maryland.

https://www.exeloncorp.com/newsroom/a-future-powered-by-stemA Future Powered by STEM7/10/2019 5:00:00 PM
