A group of Braidwood and Dresden employees and their families recently volunteered to distribute food items to the disadvantaged at a mobile food pantry in Coal City.
A total of 30 volunteers unloaded food from a truck, stocked food tables and handed out items to dozens of needy customers of the mobile Northern Illinois Food Bank.
People in need of groceries were lined up when volunteers arrived - some who arrived at noon to guarantee their spot in line. Employees jumped right in, and even helped individuals carry food to their cars, when needed.
Generation Nation's Megan Holba (Chemistry) led the volunteer event for Braidwood. Our people and their willingness to give back in their communities puts the power in nuclear power. What a great way to represent nuclear in the community and help Build Enduring Value for our industry!
