For more than 15 years, Delmarva Engineering Fieldman Doug Hudson has been helping his community by saving lives and tax dollars. He is serving his third term as President of the
Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company, but also serves as a Fire Police Officer and an engineer on the fire trucks. Doug is certified in CPR and when needed, has driven the ambulance. Coming from a small town, he wanted to help his neighbors in their time of need.
Off the truck, he’s responsible for constructing the annual budget, implementing cost savings projects, and recruiting new volunteers. He was recently elected as Second Vice President of the Sussex County Firefighters Association and for the next four years, he will travel across Delaware representing both the Selbyville and Sussex County Fire Departments. The Achievement Award grant will help the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company purchase a
LUCAS Chest Compression System for their ambulance.
