Constellation’s Kiati Plooksawasdi and the Young Audiences of Maryland

Kiati Plooksawasdi, a Lead Business Analyst of Retail Strategy for Constellation, is in his 3rd year as a Board Member at Young Audiences of Maryland. Young Audiences is the nation’s largest art education network that provides a variety of services to schools, libraries, and community centers including in-school art programs, artist training, and professional development for teachers. 

As a member of the 50K committee, Kiati focuses on organizational growth and branding through his efforts to introduce new people and resources to Young Audiences. Kiati’s passion for implementing innovative learning processes to schools is evident in his work with the Summer Learning Arts Academy, an organization which provides low-income Maryland youth new learning avenues during the summer. Young Audiences of Baltimore is excited to use the Achievement Award grant to help support travel expenses to reach students in rural communities and increase the organization’s capacity.

About Exelon’s Energy for the Community Volunteer Awards Program 

Exelon makes grants totaling $200,000 in honor of 24 outstanding employee volunteers for their work in the community. Nonprofits will receive grants of $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000. Since 2007, the awards program has recognized 180 employees and provided more than $1.3 million to their nonprofit partners.

Volunteerism is part of who we are. Our employees are purpose-driven in their work – and also on their own time. In 2016, 6,700 Exelon employees spent more than 171,000 hours volunteering with nonprofits in the diverse communities we serve. We encourage them to track their hours so we can recognize and reward their work.
