POTTSTOWN, Pa. - Exelon Nuclear employees at Limerick Generating Station recently contributed $60,000 to local charities raised at the Seventh Annual Limerick Charity Golf Outing, which has now raised more than $360,000 for area non-profit organizations over its history.
"This golf outing is a wonderful example of the generous spirit shown by Limerick Generating Station and its employees," said Harry Price, Foundation for Pottstown Education board president. "Their commitment to education and the children of Pottstown will ensure that they continue to play a vital role in our community for many years to come."
At this year's golf outing, more than 200 golfers helped raise money and awareness for 23 local charities, including:

" Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities
" Foundation for Pottstown Education
" Preservation Pottstown
" Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy
" Salvation Army of Pottstown

" North Coventry Food Pantry
" Pottstown Police Athletic League
" Tri-County Community Network
"Limerick employees care a great deal about the community where they live and work," said Bill Maguire, Limerick Generating Station site vice president. "We are committed to make the community a better place by volunteering and raising much needed funds for local charities."
