Exelon Sponsors Godley Harvest of Horrors and Haunted Barn

BRACEVILLE, Ill. (Oct. 19, 2009) - Braidwood Station is doing its best to ensure a spooky time for the brave souls visiting this weekend's Harvest of Horrors Haunted Barn in Godley, Ill. The station is donating $1,000 to enhance the second annual Halloween season event, a joint effort of the Village of Godley and the Godley Park District.

This year, in addition to the haunted barn, the hosting organizations will offer a haunted hay ride among other attractions.

"Last year was our first year with the Harvest of Horrors Haunted Barn," said Godley Park District Superintendent Joe Cosgrove. "Our goal is to grow a little every year and make this event better and better. We appreciate Exelon's support."

"We are happy to support the village of Godley with this sponsorship," said Braidwood Site Vice President Amir Shahkarami. "We hope those visiting the haunted barn have a great time."

The Harvest of Horrors Haunted Barn and hayride attraction is held on Godley Park District grounds and will be open from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24.  The cost is $5 per person. The attraction may be too intense for young children.

Braidwood Generating Station is approximately 60 miles southwest of Chicago. With both units running at full power, Braidwood generates enough electricity to power more than 2 million average American homes.
