Clinton, IL - Exelon's Clinton Power Station awarded scholarships to six DeWitt County high school graduating seniors for their academic ability and community involvement.
Each of the $1,000 educational scholarships was given to Clinton High School, Blueridge High School and Deland-Weldon High School. The scholarship recipients are:

Blueridge High School
Deland-Weldon High School
- Mikayla Jones
- Rachel White
Scholarship recipients must be graduating seniors with between a 2.5 and 4.0 scale, or equivalent grade point average (GPA) and plans to attend a recognized and accredited trade school, junior college, college or university. Scholarship criteria also include applicant leadership attributes and extracurricular activities.
"The station is most proud of its ability to help out with upcoming leaders. We wish them all the best in their future pursuits and would welcome them as new Exelon employees," said Bill Noll, Clinton Power Station site vice president.
Clinton Power Station is located approximately six miles east of Clinton. The plant produces 1,078 megawatts, enough electricity for about one million homes.
