The James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant generates 838 megawatts of zero-emissions energy: enough carbon-free electricity to power 800,000 homes. The plant was named for James Anthony FitzPatrick, who was chairman of the New York Power Authority from 1963 to 1977.

We've been part of the Oswego, New York and surrounding communities for more than 40 years. We provide hundreds of well-paying jobs and millions of dollars in economic support, including about $12 million in taxes annually for schools, roads and other public services.
