Energize your career at Exelon!<br><br>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION<br><br>The individual must assume the first line supervision responsibilities of coordinating the work and leading the work force to safely perform all construction activities as required. OQ Qualification is necessary, in addition to having Extensive knowledge of the gas distribution system and construction standards is necessary to be successful in achieving all job expectations. The person must be self-directed, self-motivated and model the behaviors/values of a high performance organization. <br><br>Note: Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. <br><br> PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<br><br>- Direct a construction workforce to ensure the safe, efficient completion of work tasks to a specific schedule. Help with work as needed. <br><br>- Use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to guide individuals or groups (subordinates, peers, and superiors) toward goal achievement#CD# modifying behavior according to tasks and individuals involved. This includes dealing with Union reps and grievances. <br><br>- Establish a course of action for self and/or others to accomplish specific work tasks, which include planning assignments of personnel and appropriate resource allocation. <br><br>- Review and evaluate work tasks using experience and expertise to plan and sequence work to be accomplished by others. <br><br>- Establish performance goals, coach, provide training, and evaluate performance. <br><br>- Develop alternative courses of action that are based on logical assumptions and factual information after considering resources, constraints, and organizational values<br><br>- Lead emergency repairs to restore continuity of service to customers, respond to odor calls, . <br><br>POSITION SPECIFICATIONS<br><br>Minimum: <br><br>- Bachelors degree in Engineering or business related fields, and 5-8 years of related business experience, with knowledge of Gas Operations. <br><br>OR in lieu of a Bachelors degree, a minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience. <br><br>- Valid drivers license<br><br>- Demonstrated ability to support and enforce safe workbehavior<br><br>- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills<br><br>- Demonstrated ability to improve team performance<br><br>- Demonstrated ability at planning/scheduling of projects<br><br><br><br>Preferred: <br><br>- Five years of engineering, and/or operating experience preferred. <br><br>Or<br><br>- Previous supervisory/lead experience of work or project team level or above. </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">- Must live within 30 miles distance from the assigned District Office. </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><br> </p>
