Energize your career at Exelon!<br><br>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION<br></p><br><div>This position is responsible for leading a team of engineers who perform short circuit studies, develop relay settings, and provide programming for relays and RTUs.
The team is responsible for providing support to transmission and substation capital projects, operations, and ASR schemes.
<font color="black"> The individual in this role will also be required to ensure continued compliance with relevant PRC and CIP standards in the Pepco region.
</font></div><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><br><br>Lead, manage and provide leadership for the personnel and the activities of the group in P&C Engineering organization within Pepco.
Ensure compliance and adherence to accepted standard engineering and design practices and drawing standards.
<br><br><br>Note: Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<br><br>Accountability<br><br><br>- Drives and oversees the development and implementation of short and long term strategic and tactical business and labor initiatives designed to assure the highest levels of customer services and to achieve Exelons safety, reliability and performance goals.

Balances cost control with appropriate capital and maintenance investments.

Provide accurate and timely feedback regarding performance and operations.
Conduct performance planning and appraisals.
Identify opportunities for growth and learning.
Facilitates open and honest communication with staff.
Assures that upward communication is integrated into the process, including employee concerns and complaints.
<br><br>- Establish, maintain and improve relationships with other departments in Exelon and outside.
<br><br><br><br><br>POSITION SPECIFICATIONS<br><br>Minimum: <br><br>-Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field<br><br>-At least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years as a supervisor or manager, OR in lieu of Bachelors degree, a minimum of 12-14 years of relevant experience<br><br>- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of distribution engineering practices.
<br><br>- Proven leadership ability in a high performance culture.
<br><br>- Proven high level management skills in coaching and facilitating business competency.
<br><br>-Self-initiator and proven performance management skills.
<br><br>- Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change and ensure compliance to engineering processes and design procedures<br><br>- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance.
