Energize your career at Exelon!</p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><b><font face=""arial", "sans-serif"">* SPECIAL POSTING NOTES-</font></b></p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><b><font face=""arial", "sans-serif"">Candidates with the following skills and/or experience preferred:<br>� Possess knowledge of AutoCAD Design<br>� Knowledge of High Voltage substation design<br>� Possess knowledge of substation equipment and function. <br>� Ability to visit substations and comply with safety and PPE requirements<br>� Experience within an engineering design utility organization<br>� Experience using Autodesk Inventor to design documents within a utility organization<br>� Experience using Solidworks software for the production of construction documents within utility engineering units<br>� Experience using AutoCAD for the production of design and construction documents within a utility engineering unit organization<br>� Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM)<br>� Understanding of hardware required to run the above applications</font></b></p><br><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt;"><b><font face=""arial", "sans-serif"">Other beneficial experience:<br>� AutoDesk Vault<br>� AutoDesk Recap or equivalent</font></b><span style=""></span></p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><strong>Reports To: </strong><br><br>Supervisor � Design Services or Substation Design<br><br><br><strong> PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<br></strong><br>- Performs the less complex electric substation, transmission, or gas/electric/outdoor lighting distribution system design, including relocation, extension, abandonment, and removal of facilities which requires the application of published standards and calculations using computer aided design and drafting methods. <br> <br>-Reviews plans of proposed construction by customers and outside agencies to determine the extent of interference with our existing or proposed facilities.   Performs necessary engineering required to determine project cost and required construction resources Determines specifications, materials, costs, customer charges, permitting, and right of way requirements and develops the necessary documentation and work management system input to meet all prerequisites for construction. Executes contracts and performs field visits when appropriate. </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">-Maintains customer contact (internal/external) throughout job to ensure mutually agreed upon commitments are met. Negotiates scheduling commitments, permits, and permissions with customers and government agencies. Coordinates job planning with field construction personnel for jobs designed; approves minor field changes; and coordinates and obtains necessary approvals for major changes. </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">-Performs field location survey work and plots above, below, and proposed facilities to show their relationship. </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"><br>-Job duties may be electric transmission only, electric substation only, electric distribution only, gas only, outdoor lighting only or combination gas, electric, and outdoor lighting.   Work assignments and prerequisite skills depend upon the specific unit in which this position resides.   <br>Subject to overtime. </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"> </p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;">-May be required to respond to emergency events<br><br></p><br><p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM:0px;MARGIN-TOP:0px;"></p>
