Tell us about your job at Exelon.
A subsidiary of Exelon, Constellation is a national leader in wholesale energy supply and a competitive retail provider that offers innovative energy solutions to commercial and industrial businesses, government agencies and municipalities.
Based in Boston, I work as an Account Manager for the Northeast Region - helping our retail customers identify their specific needs and structure innovative energy management strategies. I strive to ensure a high level of customer service by proactively engaging with customers to provide relevant energy market updates and address any potential service issues.
What made you want to work for Exelon?
I started working for Constellation in 2007. When we merged with Exelon in 2012, I was excited that with Exelon’s generation fleet we would be in an optimal position to expand our competitive retail business. Our customers would benefit from the combined organization’s ability to offer long-term contracts, more competitive prices and expanded and innovative product offerings.
What do you like most about working for Exelon?
I sincerely enjoy the people I work with every day. I feel part of a team that is truly invested in helping businesses and towns better understand how they use their energy and how they can implement long-term management strategies. Constellation is a customer-centric company and we’re all working towards the same goal – keeping our customers happy.
Are you part of any Exelon Employee Resource Groups?
I was selected for and am currently part of the inaugural Exelon Emerging Leaders Program, a new leadership development program where high potential individual contributors are prepared in advance of their first leadership role. By participating in a series of workshops and completing on-the-job stretch assignments, we hope to build the leadership pipeline and position Exelon for continued growth and success.
I am the Communications Chair for the Boston chapter of the Developing Young Professionals. DYP encourages employees to grow their knowledge base of Constellation’s business lines and provides opportunities for career development through networking and community events.
I am the Events Planning and Communications Chair for the Boston chapter of the Network of Exelon Women (aka NEW). NEW was organized to support the personal and professional growth of its members through educational and informational events, community service, work/life balance tools, and networking opportunities.
What activities do you participate in outside of work?
I volunteer for MetroLacrosse – an urban lacrosse and youth development program that strives to provide as many hours of high-quality out-of-school programming to as many youth and teens possible and teach them the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle.
I am also an avid runner and do fundraising for various road races. My charity of choice is the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
