Notch Cliff Generating Station

Notch Cliff Generating Station

Notch Cliff Generating Station is owned and operated by Exelon Power, a business unit of Exelon Generation. Notch Cliff is an eight unit, 118 megawatt (MW) fossil power plant located in Baltimore, Maryland.

The units at Notch Cliff are fueled by natural gas and are used as needed for peak demand periods.  Notch Cliff joined Exelon Power’s fleet in 2012 as part of Exelon’s merger with Constellation.

Emergency Planning

All Exelon facilities employ sophisticated emergency response plans to protect public health and safety. These plans are reviewed and approved by state governments and regulatory agencies. The emergency planning includes coordination with local counties, municipalities and school districts.

Supporting the Local Economy

Notch Cliff pays local real estate taxes every year to support county and township government, area schools, libraries, park districts and other taxing bodies.
