In his role as president of Exelon Power, DeGregorio oversees the managing, operating and maintaining of Exelon Generation’s fossil (coal, oil and natural gas), biomass, landfill gas, hydro, wind and solar-powered fleet of generating assets that are capable of generating over 15,000 megawatts of electricity in 15 states and in Alberta, Canada.
Professional History
Before assuming his latest role, DeGregorio served as chief integration officer for Exelon during the company’s merger with Constellation Energy. In this position, he led the integration of all processes, procedures, systems, staffing and synergies between the two companies. Prior to this, DeGregorio was chief operating officer of the Exelon Transmission Company, responsible for the directing, strategic planning and operational implementation of Exelon’s transmission build-out opportunities.
DeGregorio held several critical leadership positions with Exelon Nuclear before joining the Transmission Company, including senior vice president, Operations Support and senior vice president, Mid-Atlantic Operations. DeGregorio has also led several previous integration and cost management initiatives for the company, including the Unicom – PECO merger, the Oyster Creek acquisition and Exelon Way.
Civic Involvement
DeGregorio actively supports various charities in the Philadelphia area, including the United Way, and has served as an executive board member of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce.
Education
DeGregorio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova. He received his master’s degree in Dynamics of Organization from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an associate degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from the Pennsylvania State University. DeGregorio has also attended the Kellogg Business School, Northwestern University’s Executive Development Program and the Senior Nuclear Executive Seminar.
