Distribution Project Manager

Southeastern Pennsylvania - PECO

Teresa Sanborn

Managing Mother Nature

At Exelon, environmental responsibility takes many forms. As a Distribution Project Manager in PECO’s Vegetation Management Department, Teresa Sanborn strives to create a balance between the needs of local trees and the community’s need for reliable electrical service.

Working with customers, scheduling work crews, analyzing data – it’s all in a day’s work for Exelon’s project management team.

“Every day is different and opportunities for learning are everywhere.”

Prior to Exelon, Sanborn earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and worked for a staffing company as a database manager. She first worked for PECO as a contractor in the Vegetation Management Department before joining the department full-time.

Now Sanborn’s duties include working with customers, scheduling outages so crews can work safely and analyzing reliability data to select circuits that require aggressive tree pruning and removal. She interfaces regularly with municipalities, county affairs, customers and the contractors in the department.

“I like that every day is different and opportunities for learning are everywhere,” she reports. “Working with Exelon has definitely been a great experience.”
