Meter Reader

Northern Illinois - ComEd

Mickey Reynolds

On the Road

Mickey Reynolds knows the value of a good pair of shoes. The former general manager of a shoe store, among other positions, Reynolds now hits the road as a meter reader for ComEd.

Exelon meter readers reach out to our customers, one meter at a time.

From downtown office buildings to rural communities, Reynolds and his colleagues play an important role in providing accurate, consistent billing to ComEd customers. And Reynolds likes that his job keeps him on the move.

“Being a meter reader provides a great deal of autonomy and independence,” he says. “I cover a lot of ground in a day, but for the most part I’m on my own, working at my own pace.”

And it is that opportunity to be part of a larger effort that Reynolds appreciates most of all. “Exelon has a real commitment to building relationships and getting involved in the community,” he notes. “I like being part of that.”
