Jordan BeecherHands-on experience
Jordan Beacher has always taken a hands-on approach to his career. So when the former computer repair technician and foundry worker was given the chance work in the power industry, he took full advantage of the opportunity.
From our business offices to our production floors, Exelon encourages career growth throughout our companies.
At Exelon, not only is growth available, it is encouraged.
“A temp agency placed me in an entry-level position with Exelon PowerLabs,” Beacher recalls. “Working with PowerLabs was a great experience, as they provided training and the chance to grow. After seven years there, I posted for a job as a Production Tech at Conowingo. When I was offered the position, I gladly accepted.”
As a Production Tech, Beacher works closely with the Power Team to operate, monitor and maintain the plant’s hydroelectric systems. The work is varied and challenging, which allows Beacher further opportunities to build and refine his skills. “I see things almost on a daily basis that help me grow and become a better operator.”
Summing up his experience, Beacher notes, “My career is proof that at Exelon, not only is growth available, it is encouraged.”
