A little bit about Da'Shunn

  • Tell us about yourself.
After studying commercial art in San Diego, I continued my passion in varying design art & styles including creating tattoos and tattoo artistry. I’ve been commissioned for murals, with the most being for Shenkel Church, which was requested by Kim Yo or PECO’s claims department.
  • Tell us about your job at Exelon.
Currently I am an Aerial Lineman Apprentice. My job can be demanding especially during weather like this past winter, but it is rewarding when I tell people what I do they always ask, “how did I learn to do that?” My response is, “PECO trains me to do everything, and my family rests easily because of the training I receive.”
  • What made you want to work for Exelon?
I wanted to work for PECO because of what I read about the on-the-job training, career development, and stability. Then I learned about the benefits and knew applying was the best decision I’ve made at that point in my life.
  • What do you like most about working for Exelon?
I can’t say enough about the guys and women I work with. Not often, but we have days when we are waiting, you know down time, so having co-workers that have grown into family makes PECO an even better place to work. Big thumbs up to Recruitment.
  • What activities do you participate in outside of work?
Throughout my life, I’ve had people help me and I’ve seen a lot of unselfish acts, so I try to commit one good deed a day and give back. PECO’s volunteer program allows me to annually volunteer MANNA, Cradles for Crayons, Toys for Tots, Cure for Cancer, and the National MS society. I work for a company that matches my career goals and core personal values.
