Thank you! (August 2006)
Mother Nature gave us a week to remember with extraordinary heat and then a violent storm that knocked out power to 489,000 customers. This was the sixth worst storm in PECO history, with devastation caused by winds up to 71 mph and 5,400 lightning strikes.
We want to thank all of our employees who worked longer shifts around the clock and the many other utilities who lent a needed hand. Thank you also to the local officials, public employees and everyone else who helped us protect public safety and restore service.
Most of all, we want to thank you, our customers, for your patience and understanding as we cleaned up, rebuilt and restored power to everyone.
