Changes to Your Billing Statement

Changes to your billing statement
More information, easier to read ... a change for the better (October 2006)

We've made some simple but important changes to your billing statement. In addition, we've updated our entire billing system to make it more accurate, efficient and more consistent with other large utility providers.

The changes include:

  • Easier to read bills with more information and detailed rate calculations
  • Larger, easier to read billing format
An account number of 10 digits (formerly 12 or 15 digits)
  •  A change in meter number to the manufacturer's serial number (a meter change will not be required)

The following information will appear on your billing statement:

  1. Customer and Service Address: Your name and service address. You will be billed for services used at this address.
  2. Customer Account Number: Please use this new number when requesting information about your account or when paying your new bill.
  3. Account Manager Contact Information: Name, telephone numbers, and address for contacting your PECO Account Manager.

Calculation of Charges: Itemized PECO charges appear.
  6. Amount Due and Date: The due date and total amount due for PECO and your energy supplier, if applicable.
  7. Payment Stub: Fill in the amount of your payment - be sure to include your stub when paying by mail or at one of our authorized payment locations.
  8. Message Center: Important messages from PECO and/or an alternative energy supplier, if applicable.
