Index-Based Price

Fixed Price
- Greater control over your energy budget by reducing the potential volatility of month-to-month index prices.
- Convert up to 100% of your Index-Based contract quantities to a fixed price.
NYMEX-Based Price
- Lock in the transportation cost (Basis) from the Henry Hub pricing point to Michigan, then fix your natural gas price by adding this Basis price to the monthly New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) commodity price.
- Manage a portion of your total gas bill.
Other benefits include combined monthly invoice, which includes distribution and commodity charges. Exelon Energy will purchase the gas you have in storage at the current market price and invoice you based on actual gas consumption each month. This prevents you from having to buy and store gas that you do not use.
