Support for Local Government
The ComEd - External Affairs Department is responsible for managing relationships between local governments and ComEd. Each community in Illinois that is served by ComEd has an assigned ComEd External Affairs Manager to work with them on various issues that arise throughout the year. There are 16 External Affairs Managers serving more than 450 Illinois Municipalities and Chicago Wards.

- Strives to provide timely, credible and accurate information on the company's operations and positions to public officials, opinion leaders, the general public, media and to valued customers
- Devotes resources in the form of contributions, person-hours and expertise to improve the economic health and quality of life within our service territory
