Payment Assistance Programs

If you are having difficulty paying your bill, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) may be able to help you.

In addition, ComEd offers a number of tools to help customers manage their bills:

  • Collection Arrangements (Reschedule your payment for up to an additional 21 days)
  • Deferred Payment/Installment Payment plan (Pay a past due amount over time)
  • Budget Billing payment plan (Avoid seasonal expenses: spread costs evenly over a 12 month period)
  • Automatic Payment plan (Automatically transfer payments from your checking account each month when bill is due)
  • Credit Card/Debit Card or Electronic Check (Pay instantly online or by phone with credit or debit card, or checking account)
  • eBill (Online bill delivery and payment option)
  • Extended Due Dates (For eligible residential customers)
