Report An Outage

If your power is out

• Check to see if your neighbors have power. If they do, check your electrical panel for a "blown" fuse or a "tripped" circuit breaker. If the power is out in other homes, call ComEd at 1-800-EDISON-1 (1-800-334-7661) to report your outage.
• If you or any household member is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.  Until your service is restored, we recommend that you seek shelter with a family member, neighbor or friend.
• Call 1-800-EDISON-1 to get information updates about an area-specific outage. In severe weather, thousands of customers may be simultaneously calling the phone line. Our automated system lets you hear your estimated restoral time without speaking directly to a representative.
• If you see a downed power line, STAY AWAY. Tell others to do the same. Call 1-800-EDISON-1 immediately to report it.
