What is e-Bill?
e-Bill is a secure online billing service.  You receive your bill notice by email over the Internet. Would you like to learn how to  sign up for e-Bill ?

  • View pending payments and track payment history—up to six rolling months of past e-Bill statements.
  • Download bill and payment information to financial software such as Quicken or to MS Excel.
  • Pay your ComEd bill anywhere you have access to the Internet—at home, at work or on the road.
  • View all of the same customer information normally included in your business’ paper bill, including regulatory messages and ComEd’s environmental disclosure statement.

You'll be surprised at how easy it is. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Enroll at CheckFree .  It only takes a few minutes to enroll. Remember to make a note of your user name and password.   
  2. On the Sign In page, click the Enroll Now button. The enrollment form opens in a new window.
  3. Enter your personal information, such as your company’s name and address. This information is used for contacting you and to identify you. Click Continue . The Enrollment - Security Information page opens.
  4. Enter your security information. The information you provide here helps to verify your identity and ensure that your enrollment is as accurate and secure as possible. This is also where you choose the password you want to use.
  5. Review and accept the Terms and Conditions* for the Web site. Click Continue.

The enrollment verification screen will provide you with information about how your enrollment will be confirmed. To finish the enrollment process, click Close .

For Better Service:

  • You will receive notification via email when ComEd has processed your e-Bill setup. Remember that, depending on your bill date, you will receive both a paper bill and an online bill in the first period after you enroll. After the first period you will receive the electronic bill only. 
  • Until you receive your first e-Bill, we recommend you continue to pay your regular bill as it comes due.
  • If you like to keep hard copies, you can print the electronic version. 
  • When you receive your e-Bill notice, be sure to click on the “e-Bills and e-Statements” on the top then “view” to see bill details, and check out important customer messages on the bottom of the left screen.

Eligibility

If any of the following apply to you, you are not eligible for ComEd Commercial & Industrial e-Bill program.

  • You are a summary billing customer. Your account number is connected with a summary billing account. 
  • You receive large print, postcard billing, permanent pull billing, or braille billing. 
  • You receive the single bill option.
  • You are a very new ComEd customer within the first few days after requesting service.
