Santa Makes Stop at TMI Children’s Christmas Party

In the midst of his busiest toymaking season, Kris Kringle took a break to visit the Three Mile Island Children’s Christmas party in December. Many offspring of TMI’s more-than-600 employees came out for a fun morning of festive spirit and cookies.

To ensure each child had an opportunity to ask Santa what they wanted for Christmas, two TMI North Pole liaisons, Jamie Sliter and Marjorie Hummel, played the part. Both bore a striking resemblance to Mr. and Mrs. Claus, but it must have been a coincidence. The party was organized by TMI’s Recreation Association and was a success.

TMI’s Women in Nuclear group also organized a toy drive for children in need this holiday season. There were at least 70 “angels” who received gifts this Christmas thanks to TMI employees and their continued outreach.
