Nine Mile Point to Host Community Information Night on July 29
Exelon Generation’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station will host an open house on Tuesday, July 29 from 4-7 p.m. in the Nuclear Leaning Center.
Oswego, NY - Exelon Generation’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station will host an open house on Tuesday, July 29 from 4-7 p.m. in the Nuclear Leaning Center. This fun and educational event, known as Community Information Night, is open to all members of the community.
Employees and station leaders will be on hand to greet residents, answer questions and educate Nine Mile’s neighbors on how a nuclear power plant operates. Representatives from Operations, Engineering, Security and Emergency Preparedness and other plant departments will be setting up informative displays to inform and educate the public. The station’s control room simulators will also be open for tours so neighbors can see how we train our operators to run the station safely and reliably.
Kids will enjoy the interactive, educational displays from the Children’s Museum of Oswego. Gannon’s Ice Cream will also be on site and souvenirs will be provided.
Due to space restrictions, we must limit attendance to 500 people. To reserve your spot, send an email to NMPOpenHouse@exeloncorp.com by July 14 and let us know how many in your party to expect. If you prefer to RSVP via phone, call Natalyn Giverson at 315-349-1264.
We look forward to seeing you!
