Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Hosts Community Information Night on September 12

Learn how Exelon Generation produces carbon-free, reliable energy for more than two million homes

DELTA, Pa.  — Ever wonder how nuclear power is generated or how a nuclear power plant works? If you attend Exelon Generation’s Community Information Night, you’ll find answers to these questions and many more. You’ll also see firsthand how the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station is safely producing energy to power more than two million area homes.

This free, family-friendly event will be held at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, 1848 Lay Road, on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitors are asked to park in the Lay Road parking lot, head to the registration area, and then take a quick bus ride to the event.

Plant employees will be on hand to discuss plant operations, environmental stewardship, radiological safety, emergency preparedness and much more. Visitors also can tour the station’s control room simulator, which is used for training reactor operators. Complimentary food and beverages will be available.

For more information or to register, visit https://peachbottomcommunitynight.eventbrite.com or call 717-456-4461. Registration is requested, but not required to attend the event.

Community information nights are an important part of Exelon Generation’s annual public information and outreach campaign, designed to engage and educate the public on plant operations. Throughout the year, our employees are active in the community through volunteering, hosting tours, visiting area schools, appearing at community events and financially supporting dozens of civic and charitable organizations.
