Exelon Sponsors Family Fun Night at the Mason-Dixon Fair
Peach Bottom to offer prizes for kids and $2 discount ride coupons on Thursday.
Delta, Pennsylvania –On Thursday, July 15, Exelon will sponsor Family Fun Night at the 12th Annual Mason-Dixon Fair. Employees from Exelon Nuclear’s Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station in Delta will be on hand from 5-8 p.m. handing out prizes and $2 discount coupons to all fair attendees. The coupons are good for $2 off all-night ride bracelets on Thursday night only.
Peach Bottom has supported the Mason-Dixon Fair and its predecessor, the Delta Carnival in numerous ways throughout the years but this is the first time the station has sponsored a Family Fun Night. Proceeds from Family Fun Night will support the Mason-Dixon Fair and the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company. Peach Bottom employees and their children will also be participating in the 2010 Fireman’s Parade on Saturday July 17, tossing candy and prizes to families along the parade route.
“We look forward to supporting and participating in the Mason-Dixon Fair and Fireman’s Parade each year,” said Peach Bottom Site Vice-President, Tom Dougherty. “Peach Bottom will always be an integral part of this community and we are committed to supporting our local organizations and community events through annual outreach and education programs.”
“Peach Bottom has supported the Mason-Dixon Fair and Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company for many years,” said President, Doug Farrington. “That support continues this year with Exelon Family Fun Night, which will help us raise funds while lowering fair costs for local families.”
While Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station has a business mission to generate safe and reliable power to more than two million homes in the area, the station and its employees are very active in the community. Peach Bottom employees volunteer, host tours, visit area schools, mentor students, appear at community events and financially support dozens of civic organizations each year.
