CHICAGO—Exelon today announced it has appointed Maggie FitzPatrick as senior vice president of Corporate Affairs, Philanthropy and Customer Engagement, effective Aug. 29, 2016.
FitzPatrick will have oversight of communications, brand strategy, and customer engagement. She will also oversee the distribution of nearly $40 million in annual giving from Exelon.
In this role, FitzPatrick will be responsible for the Exelon marketing communications infrastructure, and deepening trust and engagement with millions of customers in hundreds of communities served by the company.

FitzPatrick holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Policy Studies from Syracuse University, and an M.A. in Public Policy from The George Washington University.
FitzPatrick recently served as Global Chief Communication Officer and Vice President of Public Affairs at Johnson & Johnson, a Fortune 100 company and the world’s largest healthcare company. Prior to J&J, FitzPatrick was Global Chief Communication Officer and President of the Foundation at Cigna.
FitzPatrick serves on the boards of the National Partnership for Women and Families and Achilles International. In 2015 she was named one of the most powerful people in public relations by PR Week Magazine. She is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Arthur Page Society, and is a member of The Seminar, a leading global communications consortium.
She will reside in Washington, D.C., with her family.
