Lurie's Children's Hospital Picked For Employee Giving & FFAC

Braidwood Station employees have selected Lurie's Children's Hospital in Chicago as the charity to benefit from this fall's Employee Giving Campaign and the 2019 Fishing for a Cure bass fishing tournament. Our donation to Lurie's will be specifically earmarked  for childhood cancer research.

The Employee Giving and Fishing for a Cure committees recently met and selected Lurie's among all the charities nominated by Braidwood employees. The two groups both noted there are many employees at the station who have loved ones who have benefitted by the high level of medical care provided by Lurie's.

Lurie's Children's Hospital is one of the top children's hospitals in the nation with a robust research institution aimed at finding a cure for a variety pediatric cancers.

Braidwood's Employee Giving Campaign kicks off Aug. 9 so stay tuned for more information soon about how you can get involved and support Lurie's Children's Hospital.

Fishing for a Cure just recently wrapped up a campaign that raised $55,000 for Ronald McDonald House of Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Next year's event will be held in the April/May timeframe. The tournament, now in its 18th year, has raised $560,000 for charity since its inception.
