In November, Clinton Power Station employees participated in Care Day at the Vault, a community center for teens and Clinton Station's non-profit agency of choice for its Employee Giving Campaign. Clinton resident Michelle Witzke is doing her best to turn the former tanning salon into a place where teens can hang out with their friends, learn and have fun.
Clinton employees spent the day removing plaster to expose the original brick walls of the old building to help with the transformation of the space. This center will focus on three areas: social, academic and spiritual wellness for teens. The goal of this facility is to help find constructive activities for area teens to do after school and also help revitalize the downtown area.
"I think it'll benefit everybody, not just the teenagers," explains Witzke. To volunteer, donate, or for more information about "The Vault," email Michelle Witzke at TheVaultClinton@gmail.com or visit The Vault Clinton's Facebook page.
