LaSalle Employees Band Together to Spread Cheer in the New Year

Marseilles, Illinois - LaSalle Station put the proceeds from its annual station holiday party to good use, generously making donations to several organizations to help them start the new year right.
All proceeds from the station’s holiday party were used to make donations to local police departments’ holiday giving programs and area food pantries.
Local police departments in Marseilles, Ottawa, Seneca and Streator used the financial donation to purchase winter coats for area needy families, while food pantries in Marseilles, Mazon and Streator will re-stock its shelves with food after the busy holiday season.
In addition, guests brought non-perishable food items. In all, 30 full boxes of food items – anything from soup to pasta to cereal – were collected.
The station outreach committee also made charitable contributions to the food pantries in Ottawa and Seneca last year.
“It is humbling for me to witness and be a part of the compassion and generosity shown by the employees of LaSalle Station,” said LaSalle’s Site Vice President Dave Wozniak. “They are always looking for ways to help others in need and place a special focus on it during the holiday season.”
Last year alone, LaSalle Generating Station donated $65,000 to a wide range of local organizations, including charitable contributions to help LaSalle and Grundy Counties improve environmental, educational and recreational initiatives within local communities.
