POTTSTOWN, PA (Feb. 19, 2009) - Exelon Nuclear's Limerick Generating Station recently donated $1,000 to the Twin Valley Fire Company towards the construction of the company's new fire station in Caernarvon Township and Elverson Borough.

"We have been raising funds to build a new firehouse for a couple of years now," said Twin Valley Fire Company President Robert Cook. "This generous donation from Limerick will go a long way in making this a reality."

The Twin Valley Fire Company was officially formed in 2007 when the Elverson Fire Company and Friendship Fire Company of Morgantown merged.  The new company serves the communities of Caernarvon Township, West Nantmeal Township, East Nantmeal Township, Warwick Township, New Morgan Borough, and Elverson Borough.

"We are pleased that we could provide support to Twin Valley Fire Company after all of the support they provide our community," said Chris Mudrick, Limerick Site Vice President. "Limerick is thankful to the men and women who provide emergency services and we know this donation will help them continue to keep our community safe."
