Laura Henry and Team Red White & Blue

Exelon employees are committed individual volunteers. We encourage them to support the causes they’re passionate about.

Helping military veterans come home and reconnect.

Team Red White & Blue's (RWB) mission is to connect America's military veterans to their communities through physical and social activity. Laura Henry of Exelon Generation served as the community outreach director on Team RWB Syracuse's leadership team from June 2012 to October 2014. She coordinated events, fundraisers and communications for her local chapter and worked closely with local businesses and organizations. Laura still volunteers at most chapter events.

Laura currently serves as the triathlon & cycling director for Team RWB Syracuse veterans and athletes. She enjoys working with military veterans and helping them when they return to civilian life.

At Exelon, individual initiative drives our success.

Exelon's executives serve on hundreds of nonprofit organization boards. We also field Exelon teams of volunteers, and help employees find community service opportunities. But what impresses us the most? Employees' drive to volunteer for causes that they're passionate about.

Volunteerism is part of who we are. Our employees are purpose-driven in their work - and also on their own time. In 2014, nearly 5,000 Exelon employees spent more than 112,000 hours volunteering with nonprofits in the diverse communities we serve. We encourage them to track their hours so we can recognize and reward their work.
