Exelon works to consistently enhance our environmental performance through partnerships with leadership organizations at national and local levels. Exelon believes that a broad approach is required to better enrich the communities we serve. We focus our corporate giving in four areas and give to the communities in which we live and serve and encourage our employees to support the organizations that they value.
Exelon also nurtures a culture of community involvement and environmental stewardship in the workplace. We’re proud of our employees who volunteer to enrich the quality of life in our communities.
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
As an independent not-for-profit organization, CDP has assembled the largest corporate greenhouse gas emissions database in the world and releases an annual Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) and Climate Performance Leadership Index (CPLI). In 2013, Exelon was the only U.S.-based utility company to appear on CDP’s Global 500 CDLI and CPLI for leadership in reducing carbon emissions and addressing climate change. Exelon was one of only two utilities named to the S&P 500 CDLI and CPLI.
