Exelon supports the expanded use and development of renewable energy sources as part of its overall climate strategy. Renewable energy sources help in reducing air and greenhouse gas emissions while also enhancing energy security and independence. Currently, our renewable energy portfolio makes up 8 percent of our total demand/supply resource base, or 7 percent of our total owned generation resources including hydroelectric, landfill gas, wind and solar assets. Exelon’s companies procure and market this portfolio of renewable energy to customers in many states.
