Corporation Overview
In October 2000, Chicago-based Unicom Corporation and Philadelphia-based PECO Energy Company merged to form the new Exelon Corporation. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Exelon distributes electricity and natural gas to a customer base of approximately 5.1 million and is the largest nuclear operator in the U.S. In today's newly deregulated energy environment, the merger has given us a competitive advantage with a new range of capabilities and expertise that is second to none.
With over $15 billion in annual revenues and a workforce of about 18,000 employees, Exelon operates as two business units: Energy Generation and Energy Delivery, and a corporate services and support unit: Exelon Business Services Company.
Each business segment has a unique dynamic, offering growth opportunities and a corporate culture that fits a variety of personalities and lifestyles.
